If we talk about architect then the first name strike to our mind is Shah Jahaan. The Taj Mahal is the most wonderful gift to the Indian architect . Proudly we counted in 7 wonders of the world. Agra is a beautiful Place apart from the Taj Mahal the another monument we are going to talk about is “Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb”.

The tomb building tradition in mughal era gifted us many monuments.Similarly Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb is one of them.Interior of Tomb resemble to the Taj Mahal and that’s why it is also considered as Baby Taj.The main building comples is surrounded by the several complimentry building of the structure.The beautiful gardens resembles well the rational combination of stonecraft and natural beauty.

The use of white marble fron Rajhasthan give the monument a white look.The pure white carving of the tomb represents the Islamic style of  architecture.Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb was build on the bank of yamuna river.

In the interior the walkways are designed with center water courses.Hexagonal towers surround the structure from corners.The interior is designed in such a way that the natural light enters to it and increase the beauty of Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb.

The another name which is counted in the Indian Architect History is Itmad-ud-Daulah.The glorious chapter of mughal history is represented by his tomb.The sense of architect used in his tomb is astounding.Due to its fine finishing done to its walls and the architect is so impressive people start calling it mini version of Taj.

The tomb was build in the memory of Itmad-ud-Daulah a persian poor merchant. The history speaks his wife gave birth to a baby girl,when he was coming to India for Business. The financial weak condition are forcing them to left the child. But the attachment and love toward their daughter forced them to take her with them.The baby girl brought good luck to the parents and merchant was made treasurer in the Akbar court.Later he promoted to different position in mughal’s dynasty and finally also acquired the position of minister.
